You have voted and I want to thank you for engaging in the democratic process!
I am honoured to to have run to be your Councillor and want to congratulate Jeromy on his win last night.
When I began this journey months ago I made that decision based on encouragement from you. The support I’ve received from across the Ward has been overwhelming from the hundreds of people that took signs, made donations and gave of their time. They have reminded me of the importance of respectful, truthful communications and representation. I look forward to experiencing that tone from our new Councillor.
I would like to offer a special thank you to our team, our volunteers, my friends and of course my family for the continued encouragement and the long hours of hard work to make this campaign such a success. Campaigns are a test of endurance, loyalty and relationships. Our campaign team has not only survived and thrived. Thank you to everyone who volunteered on campaigns in Ward 11.
One of my favourite quotes is “Democracy is not a spectator sport”, so I also want to thank Janet, Robert and Keith for putting their name forward and putting forward their ideas to make Calgary a better place to live.

Over the last few months I have criss-crossed Ward 11 and spoken to families, to community associations, and to residents just like yourself. I’ve heard consistently from my conversations, that in the next city council residents want:
- Open and clear communication from City Hall;
- To have their opinions actually matter in infrastructure and development consultations; and
- Fiscal responsibility starting at the top.
I believe that communicating with residents needs to be at the top of our priority list at City Hall– we need to make sure that communities and Calgarians are included in the consultation process, and not an afterthought. I believe that City Hall needs to live within its means, we need to make sure that we balance our priorities and our fiscal responsibilities. I believe that we need to be accountable, as your elected representatives– City Hall needs to be transparent and honest.
And this needs to start on Day 1.
On October 17th, I promise to you to roll my sleeves up and get to work and provide Ward 11 with the necessary updates on key issues like the SW BRT and progress on flood mitigation.
I want to make sure that Calgary continues to be a world class city, and that Ward 11 continues to be a thriving, vibrant and active community.
This is a tight race and with your support we can do it.
So on Monday make sure you get out, cast your ballot and vote in this important election. Every. Vote. Counts.

We’re off to the races!
Yesterday my team and I submitted our nomination papers to make our campaign official. It’s been months of hard work to get here, and I wanted to share this moment with you.
In 28 days, voters in Ward 11 will elect a new councillor. Over the past four months I have been meeting with residents, business owners, community members to listen to their concerns and share my vision for the ward. I am excited about the next four weeks on the campaign trail and the opportunity to earn your trust.
As we cross this milestone, I am asking for your support with our campaign. There are variety of ways you can get involved, either through volunteering to help get our my message or by making a donation to our campaign. Every little bit of support helps us reach our goal.
I am excited and energized for the next four weeks of this campaign. Thank you for your support and I look forward to criss-crossing Ward 11 and continuing to earn the support of voters.

Earlier this month we officially kicked off my campaign for Ward 11. Surrounded by friends, family and supporters it was the first of many events that we have planned in the ward. With our new web site up and running, a fantastic Lilac festival, an engaging Neighbour Day, and numerous meetings with community associations – we are off to a great start!
Like so many of you, my family has benefitted from the opportunities that Calgary has to offer. Our city works hard and plays hard, and our entrepreneurial spirit is unmatched. Calgary is a place that thrives in a challenge. As we navigate through economic stresses and families face difficulties, I feel it is incredibly important that your City Council strives to ensure that Calgary is a city that nurtures success and lives within its means.
And to help our City achieve this, Ward 11 needs city council representation that believes in this Calgary like I do. An individual that has a proven record of working with everyone to achieve a common good. An individual that knows that Calgary’s vibrancy and strength is in building each community to the best it can be.
Over the next few weeks leading up to the Calgary Stampede, I will be attending community events and reaching out to as many residents of Ward 11 as possible. You can keep up to date with my campaign by following me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
